Lauren and Dan came all the way out to see me on Christmas Eve of all days, to make sure that we had a chance to get her maternity portraits. I remember telling a friend I was shooting a session on the holiday, to which her response was, “Are you totally crazy?” Well, maybe a little bit, but I like to think that it makes me good at what I do
Lauren and Dan also brought their two dogs with them, who are the couple’s first babies, so we had to incorporate them into the photos! Enjoy!
I photographed Abby and Scott’s engagement and wedding, so I was so happy to be asked to photograph their very first baby, Chase! He was so cute and such a great baby model. I always love to see my wedding couples when they have kids–makes me appreciate and love my job even more than usual. Enjoy!

I still remember when I got Shannon’s inquiry–it was late on a Friday and she told me she had to have me photograph her wedding and asked about a few possible dates to check my availability before firming up her date with the venue. I was totally shocked and humbled–I think this was the first time I ever had anyone schedule their date around my calendar! We emailed back and forth that night and met a few weeks later to confirm everything, and it was a done deal!
The wedding and reception took place at the beautiful Blue Rock Inn. The views are amazing and the food was fantastic. I remember loving the wedding when I was shooting it, but I literally had chills when I was processing the images. There is something special between this couple that really shows in photos. It’s really quite amazing. And it’s all them. I was just along for the ride!
Congratulations Shannon and Archie, and thank you for making me feel so welcome, for treating me like family and inviting me to your wedding day. It was pretty fantastic!

You may remember Jennifer and Kenny from their adorable engagement session in Clifton last year. We had gorgeous weather that day, but their wedding day turned out to be one of the coldest of the whole Fall season! It was definitely out of the norm, but everyone braved the cold so we could take advantage of the beautiful grounds of Historic Long Branch in the hills of Virginia. We knew there was a nice warm reception waiting for us back at the George Washington Hotel, which made it much easier! Enjoy!
